About

Wildwood Witchcraft emerged in the mid-2000s in what is colonially known as South-East Queensland.

Since then it has developed into an initiatory lineage with Wildwood Witches practicing and celebrating our lore and magic in Western Europe, Turtle Island (North America), and along the East Coast of Australia.

We could be variously described as ecstatic, folkloric, traditional, contemporary, and spirit-led witchcraft. Our initiatory rites celebrate, affirm, and aim to deepen our intimacies with the key Spirits of our Family, and the Wildwood itself, also known as the Witch's Forest, the Other Place, or just the Woods.

The roots of our Tradition drink from animistic spirit-work, place-based spirituality, traditional and folkloric witchcraft, the ecstatic process, poetry, art, eros, and the virtue of family magic.

Some among us like to say, The Wildwood belongs to all Witches, but some Witches belong to the Wildwood.
